Day 1 : Reykjavik – A Cultural Welcome

When you land at Keflavik Airport, your private transfer will escort you to your luxurious accommodation before Harpa Concert Hall, which is the cultural center of Reykjavik that is now one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. After your brief tour, your guide will lead you to one of the most acclaimed restaurants in the country. Here, you will dine on exquisite seafood while the sun begins to set. Once you have had your fill of delicious seafood, you then journey to the Blue Lagoon, where you will sink deep beneath the water’s warm surface and feel all of your muscles relax from the long flight.

Day 2 : Reykjavik – Dog Sled the Golden Circle

After breakfast, you will travel to the Reykjanes Peninsula. The area has a large expanse of lava fields that you can wander across with your guide. After lunch, your guide will direct you to the dog sled center, where you will recline in a sleigh as an experienced musher leads you around the Golden Circle. During your dog sledding adventure, your musher will guide you to Gullfoss, which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Your dog sled tour will culminate at Geysir and Strokkur, where you will have the opportunity to view an active geyser in action.

Day 3 : Budardalur – Descend into a Lava Cave

This morning, you will venture to Vidgelmir. Inside this enormous cave, you will find beautiful rock formations in addition to lava stalactites and stalagmites. Your guide will explain all the wonders that have been found within the cave from bones to jewelry that date back to the Vikings. Afterward, you and your guide will continue your expedition to Langjokull and board a snowmobile with your guide. You will ride to Kaldidalur Valley, where you will admire the blankets of snow that cover the mountains in the background. Then, you will transfer to Husafell, where you will be able to experience a one-of-a-kind journey onto a glacier.

Day 4 : Akureyri – Natural Treasures of Fjords

Today, you will venture out to the open sea in search of wild mammals. As the curved backs of humpback whales surface, you will have your breath stolen. Although we cannot guarantee that you will see whales, Iceland is one of the few places in the world in which whales can be seen nearly year-round. Afterward, your experienced guide will lead you to Kolugljufur Canyon, which is a large gorge that contains an incredible waterfall. From here, you will transfer to Skagafjordur, where you will board a boat to explore the area.

Day 5 : Raufarhofn – Personal Energy Renewal

This morning, you will journey to Lake Myvatn, which was created over 2,300 years ago from a volcanic eruption. Your guide will lead you to Myvatn Nature Baths, which is an inviting geothermal pool. Here, you will be provided with a large option of spa treatments in which to indulge. After lunch, you and your guide will travel to Dettifoss, which is the second most powerful waterfall in the country. After you have seen the waterfall, your guide will escort you to the Arctic Henge, which is a colossal sundial that is about 164 feet in diameter and is reminiscent of Stonehenge. During this experience, you will feel a surge of personal energy renewal as you stand on these sacred grounds.

Day 6 : Seydisfjordur – The Folklore of Asbyrgi Canyon

In the morning, you will transfer to the helicopter center for a tour of Asbyrgi Canyon. During this aerial experience, you will fly high above the canyon and be able to witness the ravine in all its beauty. Your guide will then lead you to one of the hidden gems in Iceland: Studlagil in Jokla. After lunch, you and your guide will continue to Egilsstadir, which is a fishing village that holds the largest concentration of people in East Iceland. Afterward, your guide will lead you to Seydisfjordur, where you can meander through the town.

Day 7 : Hofn – Snowmobiling at a Heritage Site

Today, you will travel to Vatnajokull National Park, which was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you wander around the park, you will also come across Skaftafell National Park, which is a wildly diverse park that includes black sand beaches, spectacular glaciers, rivers, lagoons, and some of the tallest peaks in the country. Within the park, you will stop at one of the more amazing waterfalls of Svartifoss. Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon is known as Iceland’s crown jewel, and you will visit it today before having the opportunity to walk across black sand beaches.

Day 8 : Vik – Scenic Helicopter Flight

This morning, you will take part in another aerial adventure above Landmannalaugar. From a helicopter, you will have the pleasure of viewing the spectacular colors that seem to paint the mountainsides with a variety of different hues. In addition to this amazing spectacle, you will be able to visit Laugahraun lava fields. These fields of dried magma were formed in 1477 when the volcano, Brennisteinsalda, erupted. After you finish lunch, you will be able to sink into the natural geothermal pools that are well-known in the area.

Day 9 : Hella – The Homes of Powerful Clans

After breakfast, you and your guide will venture to Keldur, which is where some of the oldest turf houses are still standing. These turf houses are unique because, from the back, they appear just like mounds of grass, but they actually have a front door and windows. Afterward, you will transfer to Hvolsvollur, where you will come across the name of a famous Icelandic historian and poet, Snorri Sturluson. Once you have had your fix of the area, you and your guide will journey to Aegissufoss. After lunch, you will conclude your day at Seljalandsfoss, which is one of the more impressive waterfalls in Iceland.

Day 10 : Hella – Departure

This morning, you will transfer to Reykholt. The climate in Iceland can be quite harsh, making it hard to grow some fruits and vegetables, but in Reykholt, you will find a tomato and horse farm that has created a greenhouse to produce fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. After touring the farm, you will conclude your adventures at the Blue Lagoon, where you will experience pure bliss at their retreat spa in the same way you did the day of your arrival. Once your spa experience has come to an end, your private transfer will escort you to Keflavik Airport for your departing flight.
