Day 1 : Individual arrival to Flensburg
Flensburg once handled most of Germany’s rum imports, but it is more known as the seat of a large mail-order company and an important collection of points. A must-see is the visit to the port with the beautiful Speicherhäusern and the museum shipyard.
Day 2 : Flensburg — Abenra
For your first bike tour, you can choose whether to drive north on the direct path or the slightly follow a longer Ochsenradweg, a historic trade route between Germany and Denmark. Both Routes meet briefly in the village of Kliplev, where a visit to the former pilgrimage church from the 15th century is worth it. You will cycle through wide fields to Åbenrå with its long sandy beach and old seaport. /40/55 km)
Day 3 : Abenra — Christiansfeld
Today you will first cycle to Haderslev. The medieval old town on Hadersleven’s dam offers cosy rooms with free Wi-Fi Cafés and a walk along the medieval reservoir. Back on the bike you can choose between two routes: either you take the shorter, direct route through the inland. Or you follow the Baltic Sea cycle path, Østersørut, to the coast and continue over the small coastal town of Hejlsminde to Chistiansfeld. (50/70 km)
Day 4 : Christiansfeld — Middelfart
You can choose between two varied routes that you can choose either through fields, meadows and forests or lead along the coast to Kolding. Koldinghus Castle is located far from a distance, high above the Koldinghus Castle. City perched. Pass the Kolding Fjord and across Skærbæk, cross the Little Belt on Lillebæltsbrön, a Road and railway bridge just before you reach your daily destination Middelfart for today. (50/65 km)
Day 5 : Middelfart — Ebberup
On the island of Funen there are the largest deposits of porpoises and especially in the vicinity of Middelfart these are spotted most often. So keep your eyes open at your stage today! This is best from the beach, for example in the small village of Føns. Continue through the port city of Assens and the atmospheric fishing village Torø Huse until you reach Ebberup. Since your hotel is located outside the village, dinner is free in the hotel already included in the tour price!
Day 6 : Ebberup — Sønderborg
At the start of your tour, you can take a round trip across the Helnæs Peninsula, which will spoil you with picturesque nature and Stone Age settlements expected. Back to the mainland, it will be a little hillier until you reach Fåborg. The city with its narrow cobblestone streets is one of the oldest and most idyllic small towns in Denmark. In Bøjden take the ferry to Als Island and then cycle via the port town of Høruphav to Sønderborg.
Day 7 : Sonderborg — Flensburg
Your last bike tour will take you to Gråsten. The small village with the castle of the same name is mainly known as summer residence of the royal family. Cross along the Flensburg Fjord, past magnificent beaches Take the Danish-German border and soon cycle back into Flensburg.
