Day 1 : Individual arrival to Copenhagen
The Danish capital has a lot to offer. We recommend an early arrival. Guests can stroll through the historic centre or visit the famous Tivoli amusement park. In the evening, personal welcome and bicycle delivery.
Day 2 : Copenhagen - Køge
Most of your first day’s stage leads along the so-called Køge Bay, always the Baltic Sea in view. The completely car-free Amager Fælled National Park will impress you in terms of scenery, and the Arken Museum of Modern Art. Køge is one of Denmark’s oldest cities and is located right on the coast. The white sandy beaches invite you to take a refreshing dip in the cool water.
Day 3 : Koge - Naestved
Today it’s time to say goodbye to the coast. The route takes you inland and you will cross southern Zealand. A beautiful green landscape with extensive meadows and forests will always accompany you. Næstved’s medieval townscape with its old town houses invites you to take a stroll. Or take a short trip to Gavnø Rococo Castle.
Day 4 : Naestved - Korsor
We continue to the west and Großer Belt. Soon you will reach the small coastal town of Karrebæksminde. The beautiful sandy beach near Enø is ideal for sunbathing. From now on, follow the coast to Korsør via the port town of Skælskør. The cosy harbour city offers a diverse and lively cultural life.
Day 5 : Korsor - Soro/surroundings
On your way, make a short stop in Trelleborg. A huge ring fortress with a modern museum built around 900 AD informs you about the life and culture of the Viking era. Once in Sorø, it’s worth visiting from the monastery. The old abbey church from the 12th century is modeled after the Cistercian abbey of Fontenay.
Day 6 : Soro/surroundings - Roskilde
Even today you will again be accompanied by green meadows and small charming villages. Via the Isefjord and Roskilde Bay, you can reach the town of the same name. Roskilde Cathedral is available from afar. Since the beginning of the 15th century, the cathedral has been the preferred burial church of the Danish royal family and since 1995 also part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The Viking Ship Museum is also worth a visit.
Day 7 : Roskilde - Copenhagen
The final stage takes you directly back to the starting point of your cycling tour, the Danish capital of Copenhagen. From Albertslund there is a recently built cycle path that takes you to the centre almost without traffic. In the afternoon, there is still plenty of time to explore the city on your own. During a stroll, you can recall all all the wonderful impressions of your cycling trip through Zealand.
Day 8 : Individual departure
After breakfast, your trip ends.
